We have a great bunch of young people, most of whom are High School age and part of our Youth Group. They meet every Tuesday at 6.00pm during term times at various venues including Pocklington Christian Fellowship. They are encouraged to get to know each other better, play games, eat food, make music and study the bible.
Some of our regular activities include Bible studies, team debates, praise and worship, music, dance, drama and teaching, ‘Squash’ nights at the homes of other Christians in church, trips to other churches and youth events, and regular participation in organising and conducting church services. During the holidays there are trips throughout Yorkshire and the Coast as well as occasional games nights and parties.
Life is not meant to be lived alone. You were created to experience life with other people, and that’s why at Pocklington Christian Fellowship, we encourage you to get into a small group. These groups meet at various times (see below) through the week to get connected and for fellowship, care, prayer, accountability, sharing stories and studying God’s Word. They’re a place where we learn to consider each other over ourselves.
At one of our small group meetings, for instance, you can bring your own lunch and enjoy eating together whilst sharing God’s word. The groups give you the opportunity to get to know other Christians, fellowship with each other, and grow together in faith in intimate meetings in our homes. No group is perfect, and no two groups are exactly the same. We don’t expect them to be. Because people are messy, small groups are messy.
