We believe that God speaks to us through the Holy Bible – the inspired and infallible Word of God. He reveals Himself and His ways to us in the Bible, and provides the guidance, wisdom, and revelation that we need in order to live a victorious Christian life.

About God

We believe that God created all things. He alone is eternal – He has always been, is, and always will be. Even though He is one, He exists as three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He became human, being born miraculously by the virgin Mary and lived a perfect, sinless and miracle-filled life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus died in our place on a cross to bear the punishment for our sin, and to restore us to a right relationship with God. He rose from the dead after three days and ascended into Heaven. We believe that He will come again in power and glory as the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

About the Fall of Man

We believe that Man is the special creation of God – male and female made in His own image. Man was created pure, upright and in a right relationship with God. However, man chose to disobey God, believing the lies of Satan and fell from grace, which left all of us inclined toward sin and out of fellowship with God. We can only be restored into this fellowship by receiving the grace of God in Jesus Christ.

About Salvation

We believe that man can only be saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. We receive everlasting life the moment we receive Jesus Christ by faith.

About Redemption

We believe that Jesus Christ died for all of us while we were still sinners; He took the punishment for our sin. He purchased salvation, redemption and full restoration of our relationship with God, by His blood, for all who believe in Him.

About Water Baptism

We believe that all who have truly repented and received Jesus as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptised by immersion in water. Baptism by immersion symbolises the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and is a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. Baptism does not save you but shows the world that you have already been saved. While baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command that demonstrates your love and obedience to Jesus Christ, and symbolises the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Jesus. It is also a testimony to faith in the final resurrection of the dead

About Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is an experience that follows salvation. All believers have God’s Spirit within them. Holy Spirit baptism empowers believers to exalt Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to be witnesses of God’s saving grace. We believe that those who experience Holy Spirit baptism today will experience it in the same manner that believers experienced it in the early church; in other words, we believe that they will speak in tongues—languages that are not known to them.

About the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers that give them special abilities for Christian ministry. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of Christ in the Church today. They are to be eagerly desired by all Christians and practiced in submission to the Spirit speaking through the Scripture. These gifts will build up groups of believers and help them mature in Christian faith, and Spirit-filled believers will show the spiritual “fruit” that has been given to them: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control.

About Daily Christian Life

We believe in holiness of life and conduct in obedience to the command of God. We believe that people who have been born again learn to separate themselves from the value system of the world and embrace and live according to the values of the kingdom that Jesus proclaimed. As they do so, they increase in holiness, faith, power, prayer, love and service.

About the resurrection

We believe in the promise of Jesus Christ, that He will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; that all the dead will be raised; and that He will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous – those who haven’t given their lives to him, and whose names are not written in the Book of Life – will be consigned to the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous – those who have given their lives to Jesus, and whose names are written in the Book of Life – will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
